Maximus is hiring a Clinical Reviewer, LPN to support the IN LCAR program. In this vital role, you'll play a key part in evaluating clinical service requests and ensuring alignment with state, federal, and contractual guidelines.

About the Program:

The Indiana Level of Care Assessment and Referral (IN LCAR) program is a statewide initiative focused on evaluating and determining the appropriate level of care for individuals seeking long-term services and support. The program ensures that individuals receive assessments tailored to their needs, facilitates connections to the appropriate resources, and supports efficient transitions between care settings. As part of a collaborative team, professionals in this program play a critical role in improving access to services and promoting quality outcomes for the people of Indiana.

This position will require working Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Review requests for services including admission, discharges and continued stays for adherence to clinical criteria, state and federal policy, and related requirements.

- Issue approvals, denials or recommendations based on contract requirements.

- Identify need for additional clinical documentation or consultation.

- Complete documentation of activities within contract systems.

- Communicate with providers, individuals and their designees, or state workers as required.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in the state of practice is required

- High School Degree or equivalent required

- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required

- Active, unrestricted LPN licensed valid in Indiana, or compact License.

- Minimum 2 years experience with mental health and psychiatric patients

- Minimum 2 years experience with individuals diagnosed with IDD

- Highly skilled using Microsoft Office

- Ability to provide close attention to detail

- Able to work independently, managing tasks without supervision, completing tasks in a timely manner.

Preferred Requirements

- Experience with MDS (Minimum Data Set)
