Reports to: Director of Sales

Compensation: $110,000 – 120,000/Annually, depending on experience

Location: Remote

POSITION SUMMARY

The Category Manager will partner with the Sales team to drive strategic category growth initiatives. This role will extract relevant insights from sales data, transform them into actionable recommendations, and communicate them effectively to retail partners. The Category Manager will utilize various data sources (Circana, Numerator, Stackline, etc.) to build and maintain accurate and insightful analyses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze category data from various data sources to derive meaningful insights that drive growth
• Develop and deliver category presentations and recommendations to retail partners, ensuring insights are objective, actionable, and tailored to their needs
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Innovation, etc.) to align category strategies with broader company goals
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with retail partners by delivering data-backed insights
• Support and continue category management best practices according to team expectations
• Maintain understanding of CPG market trends, category dynamics, and landscape in order to provide updated insights that effectively align with established strategies
• Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or related field required
• 5+ years of experience in Category Management within the CPG industry required; experience with various retail partners preferred
• Proficiency with Circana (IRI), Numerator, and Stackline required
• Able to apply strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data
• Able to establish trust and influence key stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Able to communicate and present analyses with a customer-centric and objective approach
