Keller and Heckman LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., is seeking a talented junior level associate attorney to work in their Washington, D.C. Office to join their growing Litigation practice. The associate will have the opportunity to assist on a broad range of litigation.
The ideal candidate will have 1 - 3 years of experience in Federal and State courts. General litigation skills are required; experience in false advertising, environmental, food and drug, occupational health and safety/employment, product liability and safety, insurance, privacy, and telecommunications is a plus. General commercial litigation and E-Discovery experience is also a plus.
Strong academic credentials; excellent analytical, research, writing, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and the ability to assume immediate responsibility are required. A desire to learn, and an ability to manage multiple client priorities and take direction are critical. The successful associate will be given significant client responsibility early on, including direct client contact. The position requires collaboration across all firm offices on challenging and interesting work involving cutting-edge regulatory and health and safety issues while working in a collegial, team-based atmosphere. Due to the technical nature of the practice, an undergraduate degree or some experience in a scientific field (biology, chemistry, mathematics, or engineering) will be helpful, but is not required.
We offer an excellent benefit package, bonus plan, and salary commensurate with experience. The salary range is $165,000 - $175,000 which represents the presently anticipated low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salary may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience. A full and comprehensive healthcare package is offered (medical, prescription drugs, vision, and dental).
