Our Cranford, NJ office is growing, and we are hiring an insurance professional to work in our small to middle-market Personal Lines department. You will partner with our sales team to facilitate the day-to-day management of current clients' insurance programs, helping the world prepare for the unexpected. What You'll Do:

Client Support

• Maintain accurate client information to provide day-to-day client support and address intermediate-level client inquiries while delivering exceptional customer care.
• Assist in developing strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Recognize and satisfy carrier goals and objectives to enhance business relationships.

Account Management

• Maintain files with proper records according to company procedures. Follow company procedures to achieve positive audit results.
• Ensure the accuracy of account information for new and renewal policies in accordance with client requests, process change requests, and endorsement checking, address proper exposures for policy rating, complete coverage reviews and gap analyses, and accurately transact agency bill policies.
• Review all accounts receivable and policy cancellation notices according to Agency procedures, recognizing that the Agency must process on time.
• Monitor renewal premium increases for remarketing based on the agency’s retention strategies.
• Secure documentation needed for the agency's retention, including signed applications, replacement cost estimates, rejection of coverage, and confirmation of orders.

Insurance Expertise

• Leverage technical knowledge to ensure carrier quotes are received in a timely fashion; Review quotes for gaps and assist with inquiries from the carrier.
• Attend training and seek self-directed learning to continue industry and technical knowledge education.
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred
• Property and Casualty License
• Working knowledge of available personal lines coverages based on business and industry
• Proficient in providing client service through electronic, telephone, and in-person interaction
• Problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the use of Agency Management software or demonstrated skill at quickly learning new systems
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software
